Chapter 22 Part 4 - Since I was reborn as Saito Yoshitatsu, I'm aiming to hand over the territory to Oda Nobunaga and live longer!

After a short rest, I left my patient at the inn and returned to the city. I told my fellow merchants that I would be back tomorrow, and reassured the doctor who had finally arrived from Inoguchi, and asked him to inform the people back at the castle town that I was alright. The doctor was still staring at the appendix and the fecaliths inside, but he still nodded his head, so I guess there should be no problem.

"Young master, the market is over, let's go home now."

I was feeling very tired, but after all the help they had provided, I decided to buy Sachi and Toyo some new cotton fabric with my own allowance.

"Thank you very much... We'll take good care of making nice clothes for you."

I told them that I was buying it for both of them, not so they'd make more clothes for me like it happened before.

However, when I got back to the castle, I realized that I had forgotten to bring back a souvenir for Shinshichi, so I ended up giving him some unsold soap, and he was happy. He said he was going to gift it to his childhood friend from his home village.

You have such a great life, such a normie [1]... I was doubly pissed after I remembered that in my previous life, I could never attend the goukon I was invited to because of sudden emergencies.

As soon as I entered my mother Miyoshino's room back at the residence, I collapsed into her embrace as she held me tightly. In the end, I fell asleep on my mother's lap without eating, and did not wake up until noon the next day. It seems that I have not yet developed the physical strength necessary for conducting a complete surgery. I strongly felt that I had to continue training.

Author's Note:

I hope you will forgive me for adding some opportunistic elements.

It is difficult to put a surgical operation into words. I was reminded of the greatness of many of the pioneer writers, including Kaido Takeru-sensei.

[1] normie - a person who is satisfied with their real (offline) life
