Chapter 19 Part 3 - Since I was reborn as Saito Yoshitatsu, I'm aiming to hand over the territory to Oda Nobunaga and live longer!
1536 (Tenbun era, year 5)
TL: Yuina I left early in the morning and arrived at Ikehara Castle in the afternoon. It looked solid because it was on top of a mountain, but there was no sign indicating that it was being defended.
"Now, please, General. Go ahead and show everyone how you'll scare them shitless, make them tremble in fear."
Such an overwhelming, unreasonable request. As I stood in front of the soldiers, the Kosho and my uncle, I couldn't help rapidly directing him a reproachful gaze.
"Everyone, let the enemy trembling in Asakura's isolated castle be reminded once again of the power of Toki's elite troops!"
I ended up adding a few words to the speech I had prepared the day before. The crowd cheered, so I guess this should be all right.
With a single word from my uncle, the arrow that signaled the start of the war was shot into the castle. A high-pitched noise that sounded like a flute echoed out, and the other side sent their own arrow at us. My uncle looked at me and nodded.
"Soldiers, depart!"
A high-pitched voice that hadn't yet matured enough resonated, ordering the troops to charge ahead, and about fifty of the spearheads began to climb the mountain path leading towards the castle.
Arrows flew at us sporadically, but the front soldiers of the group had wooden boards that they used to flick and catch the arrows as we advanced.
After about 10 minutes, the second group of 150 people started to climb up the mountain path. We joined them and began our ascent. My uncle stayed behind with 100 men on guard to back us up.
