[3] Chūnō is the central portion of Gifu Prefecture in the Chūbu region of Japan. Before Gifu became a prefecture, the area was part of Mino Province. The Chūnō region received its name as a combination of the kanji for "middle" (中) and "Mino" (美濃).

Chapter 12: Omi's Peace Negociations and the Shugo Toki Yorinari ➃
Inabayama Castle, Mino Province
After the Hongan-ji Temple in Kinai was effectively destroyed, a peace agreement was reached between the Hongan-ji Temple and the Hosokawa in September. Rokkaku also joined in this agreement.
By this means, the Rokkaku clan's main forces gained more freedom. Therefore, around October, Rokkaku Sadayori started mobilizing his troops to advance towards Mino.
On the other hand, Asakura Takakage mobilized more than 6,000 soldiers led by Kagetaka, a younger brother of his and Ono District's [1] administrator, to the border of Mino Province. He attacked Inabayama Castle in cooperation with the son of Toki Jiro Masayori, who secretly entered Oga Castle.

Therefore, the freehand that the Rokkaku worked so hard to earn for their main unit, didn't last long.
It is said that they were on their way to support the troops of Mt. Hiei, and that the remaining 3,000 soldiers were led by Ohara Takayasu, a younger brother of Sadayori. It seems that they also serves as a deterrent to the Azai clan, they did nothing in particular other than watch over the Fuwa Barrier area near the border.
For this reason, Saito Soyu, the feudal lord of Tagi County [2] and anti-Yorinari group, who supported them, was almost isolated.
