Chapter 17: Looks like a first-rate Sweatshop
Inabayama Castle, Mino Province
My uncle, Nagai Hayatonosuke Michitoshi, came to visit Inabayama Castle. He usually stays at Takegahana Castle near the Nobi border at the southwest of Inabayama, but he'd always come to Inabayama Castle if he had something to report, or to do.
When my father has some business to attend to, he would come to my room.
"How can I help you, Uncle?"
"Shinkuro [1], you just celebrated your coming of age ceremony and were entrusted with the lands of the domain."
"Yes, sir. Although, I'm still struggling to get the hang of this all."
"I see. Brother is also busy. You can consult with me if there is anything you would like to do."
My uncle was my guardian. Although I celebrated my coming of age ceremony, I still have a lot to learn. That's why, I'll try to consult this uncle first in place of my busy father. However, I can't let my guard down, thinking that this man is the one who instigated my father's murder according to historical facts.
"Well, my brother cares for you in his own way. If he didn't, he wouldn't have let you do whatever you wanted or entrusted you with his domain."
"But you're still avoiding him, aren't you?"

That's funny. I feel like I am the one who is being pushed around. I'm not sure what to make of it. I couldn't even apply for paid leave, let alone unpaid leave requests.
